There is good music and bad music,... in every musical genre. Here you will find things, I consider, fall in the first category. Enjoy!
Gogol Bordello: Immigraniada (We Comin' Rougher)
Do you need any words on this?
To hell with your double standards,... we're coming rougher every time!

Gogol Bordello - Wonderlust King (on David Letterman)
When I said 'every musical genre",... I really meant it. This is probably my favorite rock band today,... and my definition of rock music today. Enjoy it!
Cuba Jazz Plus Until the Last Minute
Just in case, the drummer in this quartet is Dafnis Prieto. This song is part of his album "Taking the Soul for a Walk". Dafnis is also the latest drummer in Michel Camilos trio. No less than that!
Joaquin Sabina - Y sin embargo

y, sin embargo, cuando duermo sin ti, contigo sueño,...

Alban Berg Quartet Playing Beethoven's Grosse Fugue,... just amazing!
"I have found new joy in Beethoven, and the Great Fugue now seems to me ... a perfect miracle... an absolutely contemporary piece of music that will be contemporary forever...hardly birthmarked by its age, the Great Fugue is, as rhythm alone, more subtle than any music composed in my century... it is pure interval music, this fugue, and I love it beyond any other." (Igor Stravinsky, 1963)
And here is a version with an animated score:
Gustavo Dudamel conducts Shostakovich's 5th Symphony
Here is a brief of Dudamel on this great piece: Shostakovich's 5th.
Schumann: Piano Concerto / Mitsuko Uchida · Simon Rattle · Berliner Phil...
Here's one of my favorite pieces in Classical Music: the third movement of Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor. Such a shame that this version is not complete on youtube (yet,...).
And here is Mitsuko Uchida talking about it:
Ok, I found this version by Martha Argerich, but I must say that I like the ones by Uchida or by Pollini far better than this one. In any case, a great piece of music.
